you got one! Yes....that amp is a secret weapon and dangerous. The PPI version is very popular in car audio, but never really took off in the bike scene. Awesome amp.

$700 for fairing speakers? Ouch, might just be out of budget.

I was hoping to get them all under the fairing

Then you should wait and save. What you listed originally will no doubt leave you very unhappy compared to what Haze has recommended. Listen to him, he will steer you in the right direction as so many of us have learned.

You looked at the Pro's, the regular 7.1's are about 250-300 bucks.

Subs will only play a very small frequency band; to get that to sound LOUD in a saddlebag...the right way to do it is to build a mount to support them, or an enclosure. Also subs draw a ton of power and you're going to want to feed them some juice for them to hit hard, but your charging system can only produce so much power and youre going to waste it on a limited frequency band. Just way too many negatives for them to work. A good midbass driver with higher efficiency and wider band would be more useful, take less power, and play louder. But if you are going to do 6X9 lids, might as well go with four 6X9's as they won't fight for air displacement within the bag.

If you're dead set on a sub, try it and let us know how it goes!!

Looks like 2x of the CV B54s would do the job of the 4x kenwoods. Affordable too. Solves the AMP problem.

Now onto speakers...

Are we ok with the Aquatic?

nope!

Very limited tuning and average sound out of the box. Only real highlight of that radio is that's waterproof. I'd rather a Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer or Alpine any day.

well the radio is behind the tablet which is in a waterproof case so I guess waterproof isn't that important anymore.

I put a sony 810mex in my toyhauler and absolutely hated it. Couldn't get it to consistantly play bluetooth. Yanked it back out and put something else in there. It's sitting in my shop in a box. Sony support was worthless (if you can read anyway, because all they do is read the manual to you.)

BT7P1 SPEAKER UPGRADE
BT477 6.5" SPEAKERS
Solves the fairing speakers, ifn' y'all think it's really the best, moderately affordable.

What about saddlebag lids and 6x9"s?

I like the baddad lids for single 6x9s w/ the LED strips, but they are very expensive, something less $$ would be better.

FYI I'm going with '14+ bags with the single lever lids.

Which headunit?
