Default To Drill or Not To Drill - Arc Moto's in lowers

So tomorrow I am installing Arc Moto 602's in the lower fairings of my '12 Ultra limited. I am using those ugly Diablo Royal Customs (DRC) lower pods. I like the way they angle up and make more space for air to move. Which leads to my question. The upper part of the lower fairing is pretty sealed up. Based on what I have read if I want more bass response shouldn't I drill out the bottom a bit to allow air to move? Thanks in advance!
