Default Blown speaker?

i got my set up installed last week, and went riding over the weekend and first 1 speaker went out then later the other one, nothing. have a stock harmon kardon hu, soundstream pn4 1000.d amp and arc moto 602 speakers in the upper fairing, gain set to about 11:00 spot on amp. using hi-level inputs also. vol was about 1/2 way up. any help? did i over pwr the speaker? thought i read somewhere about replacing the caps and speaker might work again? thanks

The amp wasn't bridged correct? If the speakers did blow it would likely be from distortion unless you ran bridged. Use a multimeter and ohm the speakers and see if the coils still read OK.

When you set the gains on the amp, was the bike running or off?

Never ever go by just reading what somebody says worked for them. Too many variables. Always set gains with the bike running. You can either do so with a meter or by ear. I prefer setting by ear. More than likely the way you set it up, you amplified distortion which caused them to blow. That's my take on it.

put the meter across the speaker and reads open, no continuity between connectors

Only self fix is buying YOURSELF another set unfortunately. They may warranty them if brand new but wouldn't count on it.
This is what got smoked.
