Default Lower Fairing Speaker Videos

Just installed lower fairings and wanted to share some videos.
2008 SG - Kenwood 998 - BT4180 - Mille Pros in the fairing.
I know some are getting tired of the song but wanted to keep the testing as close to apples-to-apples as possible.
Volume level was set to 23. Any higher inside would be painful.

The first video are the Mille Pros buy themselves.

The second video is with a pair of BT 6.5 Titan II's in the lower fairings.

The third video is with at pair of Arc Moto 602's in the lower fairing.

Milles are clean sounding. The arc seems to have a tad more low end. What are you crossed over at and what slope. I found 18db as a good sweet spot and cross over at 60hz I can get the eq set up to get the overall bands dialed in. I found q factor of 1.5 to give best sound on the lower end.

Standing there the BT's and Moto's both sounded great. They are both good speaker and four speaker are going to sound better then two.

Pre Video 2: The BT's blended in with the Mille's so well it was hard to tell where the sound was coming from. The fade was set to +3 when the vid was taken but really didn't make that much difference. I was very surprised how well they sounded thou. When I had the BT's in the TP pods on the ultra I didn't like them at all, way to bright. I guess it comes down to Location, Location, Location.

Pre Video 3: I thought the BT's where louder than the Moto's but the Moto's had a little more bass and nice highs and stood out from the Mille's.

Video 2: Going back and forth between video 2 & 3 the BT's still sound a lot like the Mille's to me. Neither pair stood out.

Video 3: The Moto's are louder in the video, and really stand out from the Mille's. More bass and nice highs. I think the Mille's and Moto's complement each other with a full range of sounds. Knowing that the Moto's are not going to fade much at speed, they are there to stay for now.

What I really need to do is get it out on the road this weekend and start listening to bunch of different music.

Video 3 sounded best... louder and fuller, 602's and Milles compliment each other very well IMO... nice job Bert!!

I am technically challenged here and have had a couple of guys members help me out with the 998 setup. The speaker setting I have for the Mille's I used for the Moto's also.

Speaker settings:
HPF = 70Hz
Slope = -12
Gain = -1

EQ Settings:
Gain = -1
Q Factor = 1.50
Bass Ext = Off

I am definitely open to suggestions.

Try 60hz
18db slope
on the lowers.
I would also go 18db on the fairing set. leave at 70 and see if the lowers will give the bottom end to even it out.
