When I was buying items from bill @ BT what I liked was his honest input at the time what he told me was one would not get any benefit from the pro speakers in fairing with stock HD radio , so in less you are planning on head unit at any time I would do 4180 and regular 7.1 in fairing. Call bill he is a straight up guy.

 

Bill and BT are absolutely straight up in every regard but this is audio Brotha so the target is never in a fixed position.
Considering that one of the Baggers that just won a big Daytona audio award had the Rushmore HU installed, I have a very open mind regarding the implied limits of this HU. No telling how they made this HU come to life, but it is what it is thus I have not given up hope.

There is no body that wants 6.5 infotainment to work more than me so I hear you, recent phone conversation with bt and they have opened up 6.5 unit and are working on circuit boards with some success sounds like trying to figure out how to do it in cost effective way me be the problem.

I have tuning issues with my alpine but for sure is WAY better sound wise than the 6.5 ever was , but going to always miss the screen visibility.my 2cents worth is all .

 

J&M says to reset the radio. I know this does not reset the flash but does it have any effect on sound output of the HU?
