I am not knocking anything people are wanting to try or make work with the components they have to try to save some $$$.
All I was trying to say is if you match up your system (H U ,amp and speakers)and set it up right it should sound really good.
Unfortunately throwing some higher end speakers on a low budget system isn't going to sound that good.
For example
$10 head unit and $500 speakers is still going to sound like a $10 head unit.
Or a $200 head unit and $10speaker will be the same.
I am running a stick HU with a SS PN4 1000D amp and 4 Infinity Kappa speakers and would put the little $400 system against any JM or Boom system and walk away with a BIG *** GRIN any day of the week because I know it is set up / matched up right because of the good people on this forum and the homework that I did before jumping into upgrading my system
Good luck and be happy ☺

I spoke to John at JM and they are sending me 4 of the 2 pin wiring harnesses. He put me in touch with Pete, who was very helpful and called me back in a pretty timely manner. So far so good, I do want to personally thank JMJohn for quickly getting back to me and my concerns. Customer service is important and so far I can't complain about that. Hopefully the speakers sound better than the JL Audio's I had previously
