2 ohm kappas with pbr300x2?
A friend is putting infinity 62.11i 6.5's, BT line leveler and a pbr300x2 on a 14 street glide. He will never be adding more speakers.
1. Would it then be best to get 2 ohm speakers?
2. can the amp be mounted with velcro using stock head unit or is a bracket needed?
3. Does he need a wiring kit? He can solder, but wondering if anyone taps into power? Assuming best to run a wire directly to batter. Will ground to common ground in fairing and ground the triple tree to the frame. Does he need to purchase seperate speaker wire etc?
4. Polyfill recommended or needed with this configuration?
5. Advised he change out the screws with hex nuts on the enclosure and add weather stripping. Anything else he should do?
Thanks!!

1. Definitely two Ohm speakers with the PBR
2. Yes. Industrial velcro is ideal.
3.
4. A couple thin sheets of polyfill wouldn't hurt with the kappas.
5. Never say never. . .lol

Rockford Fosgate recommends running power and ground to the battery for the PBR300x2. You'll want to run the wires on opposite sides of your tank. A little polyfill wrapped around the Kappa's will make them sound fuller. I had this setup in my '08 CVO Ultra for awhile. Set your gains with your engine running (and on the conservative side). I had mine set between 4-5.
