Default 2014 Speaker Lids

I'm on my phone and can't use the search function, sorry if this is a repost.
What speaker lids can I trust that won't leak or look like crap? I know I have HD as an option, just didn't know what other options I have.
I currently have a BT 2180 and 7.1 up front and plan to pair them with their BT 6x9 running in parallel. I would most likely utilize the v twin audio adapter plate to achieve this. I thought about the BT 5x7 but I have to alter the basket anyway so I might as well do the 6x9.
I believe I can get paint matched HD lids for 460 or so online.
Just didn't know if there were any cheaper options or better options.

The $460 HD color matched is just the beginning. By the time you get all the brackets and adapters you will be at just under $700. Go with Factory Match lids. 750 with HT speakers included.
If u grow out of the HT speakers there is a 5 minute mod that will allow for damn near most 6x9s to drop in.

Keep in mind that the BT 6x9s will not fit the Rushmore bags / lids. BT is re-engineering as we speak. So u will have to look for some 6x9 that will parallel good with the fairing BTs.

What brackets and adapters are you talking about? I swapped all my hardware over from my sock lids. Got mine for 300.00 as part of my deal. (NOTE They do NOT come with Grills) If you act surprised, (LIKE I REALLY WAS) and you have a good HD dealer, he'll sell you some out of the Harley Boom speaker kit. (I opened the box there,, and was like,, "Where are the Grills?" He also didn't know, looked it up and said, those come with the speakers,,,, give me a second. Went to the back,, got a Boom kit, opened it, looked up the prices,,, 35.00 each,,,, I gasped,, he said, I know,, will 35.00 for the pair work?

My BT speakers came with the adapters,, and if you go 6x9 now,, you'll have to buy the adapter for them.

Default 2014 Speaker Lids

Vivid black HD lids $430
Boom grills $100
Both from boardtracker Harley to your door.

V-Twin 6x9 adaptors roughly $95 if you call them and get cheaper shipping.

This is for 2014+ Rushmore bikes.

So for me, $625 and a little work (that I like doing anyway) is a better deal than factory match lids. I can spend the $125 in savings towards speakers.

Thanks Matt!! I think this is the scenario JT was snapping my panties over. My local guys are about $600 out the door w TTL. The $100 for the adapter put me at $700. Went with the Factory Match cause they were built as 6x9 lids and came with speaks to get me down the road for $750. JT must be one hell of a negotiator!!!!!
