Default BT2180 & BT 7.1 Speakers. What next?

I am good with all the mechanical parts of Harleys. The sound system is another thing altogether. I read a lot in these forums and learned a lot too. I bought myself the BT 2180 amp and BT 7.1 speakers. I have them installed and that all went really well. Now what? Do i add "Poly fill???" before closing up the fairing? How do I put it in ? i really just wanted clear sound when I am blasting down the freeway. They sound pretty damn loud with the fairing still off. I am still pondering perhaps changing out the head unit too? You guys are all way ahead on this stuff. I don't fuss over stereo's but like to hear clean , loud sound. When I was younger I always bought what sounded good to me but back then we didn't have the advantage of the internet to instantly look things up. All help is appreciated before I button the front up. Changing the head may have to wait until next winter now. Thanks

Not with those speakers. If you wanted to try two maybe three thin sheets it wouldn't hurt. But I've found those speakers sound good with or without polyfill. I don't use it anymore.

The jury's still out on poly-fill in the fairings! Some guys like it, claim they can hear the difference! I personally have poly-fil behind the speaker in my fairing along with some dynamat in the area behind the speakers. I figured it couldn't hurt but i don't know if I can HEAR the difference! Gan you beat me to it...LOL!

Exactly Mike! I used it on set up after set up and on cheap bright speakers and I could tell a difference. Quality speakers I can't tell.

I am setting my buddy up with a PBR300X2 and Infinity Kappas on a 2014 street glide. Does he need polyfill? Should he open up the enclosures?

I too installed the 2180 and the 7.1's in the fairing. Sounds great BTW. Getting ready to order lowers. The question: should I match the lowers with BT's 6.5 Titans? Will she still rock with the 2180? Or am I going to loose some volume since it's a 2180?
