Has anybody used any pioneer speakers on their bike? Had a company suggest them and an image dynamics amp, anybody heard of this amp?

Pioneer speakers on a motorcycle are average at best. Can't really get as loud or clear as you would want/need on a bike. The small Image Dynamics amps is the same amp as the Cerwin Vega B52 that sells for half the price.

What's your budget, there's lot of good options out there.

That's not really a good one either man!

What year bike is this for?

I'd be looking at a Cerwin Vega B52 and a set of Infinity Kappa 62.11. For a little more the Biketronics 7P1 sound great and they offer a forum discount. Only reason to use the PBR is if this is for a pre-rushmor and you MUST keep FM reception.

Then your options are limited as there are very few amps that will for certain keep your FM reception and the PBR is the best priced one.

You'll want to use the Infinity Speakers with that amp. Lots of reviews here on that combo if you run a search.

A few years back there weren't many options for amps that fit in the fairing, much less well priced ones that maintained FM reception. Products have advances, there are much better sounding amps out now, with more power in the same size.....BUT the one caveat is the FM reception. You run a risk of losing some or all reception with any Class D amp.

Why do you lose fm with some amps?

EMI or better known as Electro magnetic interference with the Class D amps. Basically interferes with the radio signal. The PBR is a strong amp with 2 ohm speakers. That's why Haze suggested you go with the Infinity Kappa's. Not very strong with 4 ohm speakers but you will maintain your FM reception. The PBR and the Infinity speakers are a good combo for what you want to do.
