Default Amp setting questions...any thoughts?

Hi,

I tried searching the threads but can't seem to figure it out. I admit I'm new to this stuff. Based on recommendations on here I just installed a Sony mex bt head unit, Biketronics Titan II 6.5 in the fairing and infinity kappa 5x7 in the factory saddlebag lids. Everything is working I'm just not sure where to set the gains and the other switches prior to buttoning up the fairing. Any suggestions??

It's all in a 2012 street glide.

Thanks for any help suggestions!

DUH!!!! And the amp is a Sounstream pn4 1000. Sorry about that!

Try gains between 12 and 1 oclock for both.

HPF between 40-60hz for both and let it rip.

Have settings set as suggested above. Thanks! Sound is clear and crisp even a almost full volume. I guess I'm a little surprised it's not louder? I figured with a 1000 watt amp it would be?

If it's not loud there's a problem. Unplug the battery cable. This will reset the the Sony to the default settings. Turn the demo mode off and let her rip. See if that makes a difference. The default settings on that HU sounds really good without touching a thing.

Gannicus,

I did just that and it sounds awesome! Thanks again for all the suggestions on the original set up back in November-December when I was ordering stuff. My buddy was so impressed he is doing his bike with the same set-up.
