Best quote I heard a while bike at bike night. Big wheel baggers pulling in on 30's and 32's, systems blasting, LED lights under the motors, etc. And one guy says "man the **** we do to impress a bunch of guys in a parking lot. I've yet to have some girl walk up and say -- damn your stereo is the loudest here, want a *******!".

To answer the OP, I'm just backing up what has been said by the others...if you have a good set of speakers and the right amp they're totally worth it.
Please keep in mind though, my bags contain: 6x9s, 8s, and large horns...and I'm adding more. My opinion is a tad biased...
