Sony mex 70 BT health check

Sony mex 70 BT health check
Does anyone have the procedure to measure the RCA outputs ( front and rear) off the back of the headunit?
I did some damage to an amp yesterday and I just want to check to make sure my headunit outputs are putting out what they should be putting out.
I was reading Nutz thread on checking amp gains and distortions but I'd like to check this particular Sony HU (mex70bt) outputs to make sure all is still good there.
Thanks in advance.

You can check it using the 1k test tone.
The easiest way to do it is plug your RCA patch cord into the head unit. DMM set to AC volts positive lead from meter to center terminal of RCA and negative to outer ring of RCA. Check at 3/4 volume or higher. It should be CLOSE to rated output on HU spec sheet

I was reading how to see clipping as you raise the volume on a ociliscope and take that voltage as the distortion free voltage. ......thanks Babyboy!
