Bunker,
Do you not like the 602s or just another routine u-turn?

Bout to pull the trigger on some 692s.

Thanks!!!

Welcome. Before you purchase or decide on your equipment you MUST first decide on the fairing as not all aftermarket fairings have the same space inside to fit certain amps and head units.

As for fairing set up. Two 6X9's will get stupid loud, but the four 5.25's probably looks better.

No I love them! I've only tried the Moto 6.2's, BT Titan's and the 602's. The 602's are what I like the best and running now but like you said, I'm u-turning.

My dislike of the lowers has me re-thinking my entire setup, 1 set of 6.5's isn't enough in front of me so I'm going to try something different and maybe a little wild

Talked to my local installer and ran an idea by him, he thinks it will work well. Keep tuned, of course I'll post up teasers once I know for sure and start ordering.

Haze324,
I am looking at going with a Reckless fairing. I'm just waiting for a couple questions to be answered by them. Question for you and/or Gannicus...
You say Two 6x9's will get stupid loud but four 5.25's look better. Right now I am leaning towards buying Bunker's setup: Rockford Fosgate TM400x2ad amp
And 602's.
I know the Marine part of the amp may be overkill. (Maybe not)
1.Will this set up work in the Reckless fairing? I haven't decided on a HU yet.
2. Looks wise, would I be happier with four 5.25's and get just as good as sound as the two 6.5's? But will look better?
I want it to look good and sound good at higher speeds as well. Right now, before I switch to a fairing I am running Unique Cycle's touring setup and honestly I am not happy at all. I can't even use it on the interstate. Part of why I am going to a fairing and switching everything up. I appreciate everyone's help on this!

Rose if I were you I'd narrow it down between the 6x9 or the 6.5" setup. The 5 1/4" speakers will get loud but that's about it. Hard to get full sound from those small speakers. Also with the 4 speaker setup you have to be very careful about speaker selection because of grill fitment issues. The speaker holes are very close to one another. As far as the Rockford amp goes, it looks to be pretty big. I've seen threads where guys have been able to mount the SS pn4.1000 in these fairings with no issues. My personal choice would be the 6.5 setup. There are some really good 6.5" speakers like the 602's that will sound great. I wish I could tell you for certain whether or not Bunkers amp would fit but I really don't know.

Rose you're asking all the right questions and considering some very high-end stuff!! Good, that means you are doing it right and can not compare this upgrade to the Unique Cycle stuff.

That Amp and Speaker combo will sound fantastic at 80mph. Only thing is to find out if it fits in the fairing. Find out from Reckless how much room they have for a radio in there. I have that amp at home and take some measurements with the amp and radio inside a fairing to see if it fits.
