I put that amp in my 2014 and kept FM. From what I see it's a crap shoot, some have no issue and some lose FM.

Not knowing anything, why would you lose fm reception?

Thanks
Tom

It's because you have a 2014.

I'm looking to upgrade my stereo on my 11 SG. I would like some input. I'm not looking for anything crazy.

I just did an upgrade on my 2011 SG, I put the sound stream pn1000d amp and the infinity kappa 62.11 speakers in the fairing with an alpine head unit and it rocks, all for about 450 including the scosche radio adapter and module for hand controls

Hey Tom, welcome to the audio side of the forum. The small amps we use that will fit in the fairing are mostly class D amps. It is a crap shoot with most class D stuff in the pre Rushmore bikes if you will loose FM or not. Im not the expert on the classes of amp, but it has to do with the way the amp produces the power to amplify the output. Hope this helps.
