Default ARC Moto 602's in Road Glide

I currently have BT 7.1's in the faring of my 2012 Road Glide and I want to try out the 602's. What adapter will I need to buy to mount the Arc's?

Not sure on the earlier RG's but on a Rushmore they fit right in with the rubber ring around the magnet removed (called Arc Audio and they said no problem, it was purely cosmetic)

I'd imagine any 5.25 to 6.5 adapter will work for you but like i said, I only know what fits in the Rushmore RG's

Those 7.1's are really good speakers and I don't know that you will notice that much of a difference between the two. What amp and stock HU are you using?

I currently have a Soundstream PN2.350D at 115 watts per channel with a Sony 310 HU. I want to install the 602's and replace the SS 350 with the SS 1000 to see what it sounds like.

The Moto's are going to require more power then the 7.1's do. The 350D doesn't have the power to make either one of these speakers shine. The 1000D will wake up the 7.1's. So upgrade the amp and see what you think of the 7.1's before upgrading speakers.

Thanks Bert, but I'd like to try the 602'2 as well. When I pull the 7.1's and their adapter out, will I need a different adapter than the one from Biketronics in order to install the 602's?

I'm not sure about RG adapters but I would think so sense they are different size speakers. Give Biketronics a call they can fix you up.

I'm pretty sure the 7.1 adapters will also work with the Moto's. I'm not sure about the RG's because I have a SG! I'm sure somebody on here will know for sure...bump!

Hi,

I think you should be OK with ours, it has 6.5" and our 7.1" mounting holes. It is also really easy to drill new mounting holes in it if needed, but I don't think you will have to. Make sure and give everyone a update on the comparison in the garage and on the road.
