Default Kappa 6x9s? and a few other ?s

Im going to lose the rear pod speakers due to my wife wanting the TP detachable. Adding HT lids (Thanks Haze)

I love my 62.11s and would like to stick with Kappas for the lids. Good choice?

Also, I feel like I will lose riding volume by going from TP speakers to speakers in the lids. Is this true?

Finally, Am I doing this right? Or should I connect the TP speakers in addition to the lids, when the TP is on the bike?

Thanks

I don't feel like you'll lose much if any volume going from rear pods to the lids. Both locations serve as a filler for the rider anyway. Your wife should be able to hear the lids better than you will. The only way you'll be able to run all 3 sets of speakers when the TP is on will be to add another amp due to the fact that all of your speakers are 2ohm. Hope this helps.

It does, thanks. Wife should hear better and dont want to go with another amp. I figured this is the case but wanted some opinions. Most of my high speed volume comes from the fairing speakers, but when Im alone I can definitely hear the TP speakers.

Ok here's a thought....find you a 6.5 and a 6x9 that are similar in specs and both are 4ohm. This would allow you run the rear channel in parallel and get the benefit of all of your speakers when the TP is on.

I was thinking of doing that, but I dont think Ill have it on much after the detach kit goes on . I had one on a street glide and it was off most of the time. The weight loss is nice, so given the option, I will ride with it off most of the time. My wife is killing me. Id be happy just leaving the TP on, without the option of taking it off. I like it just the way it is.
