Installed them tonight, not feeling good about it. I was running a set of polks with the pods, now i added the hertz and bt brackets it sounds crappy, thinking of running the speakers in parallel to get better sound..... anyone?

Are you running the BT line levelers? Those speakers should be jumping out of the fairing with that amp. No need to run in parallel?

Honestly I'm bummed. Sounds like **** to me. Before I was running Polk audio mm651 in pods and sounded louder and cleaner.

Don't get bummed Bro! You'll probably have to get rid of the magic box. Trust me those new Mille's sound better than the POLKS. It's not the speakers!!!

The power output to the polks was a bit more since they are 2.7 ohm vs the Mille 4 ohm.

With the SS 1000D it should not make any difference. I hooked that amp up with the Mille's last week and It was ear bleeding loud on my bike. Of course I don't have a 14'. That's why I'm thinking it's between your radio and the Magic box. Don't give up until you get the BT line leveler's!!

The magic box really doesn't work well at cleaning up the signal form the stock radio. One of the effects of the MB is muffled sound. You really need to replace the MB with a BT Line Leveler as Gann suggested. There's a lot of good info on the LL's in the Sticky above. Start at the end an work backwards. Has the stock radio been flashed by the dealer?
