Dave, one thing I did not do but wished a had was to replace the two top screws that go through the BT bracket, the stock allen one are a pain to put back in once the amp is installed. I would change the from an Allen head to a bolt. You can see threaded inserts in BERTK's pic where they are located.
Ok, the pods are off. In my pic of the left speaker pod- I'm guessing the black bracket stays? Was that holding the CB module in place? Also, to use polyfill or not? If yes, what thickness to get? I'm sure more questions to come...thank you!

Yep, the bracket is for the CB module it will fit on the BT bracket. If you use backer rod like BERTK and myself it is 3/4"
Thanks Paul. Next question. I'm about to install the mounting plate for the amp. I've removed the 2 connectors, but the (?) GPS antenna remains(upper left of pic). How is this removed from current plate?

?
It is held on there by double stick tape, and it is stuck good. I used a little WD-40 and a razor blade.
In addition. how do you draw circles in you pic's?
You don't... you carefully draw tiny circles on the camera lens & hold it just right.
Just open the photo in Windows Paint. At the top of the screen will be a menu bar with circles, arrows, text, etc.
