What's the secret to getting the fairing back on? I've had mine on n off 10 times adjusting wires per others pictures. Keeps popping out the bottom or large gap at the top

I start by getting the bottom of the fairing tabs inside the skirt, then move to the right upper I have to lower the fairing to get the bolt to line up, which in turn pops the bottom out of the skirt; no big deal. Then I go and out the left upper in a few turns, and pop the lower part back into the skirt. From there I just tighten up the top bolts a little more start the bottom screws then make sure the bottom tabs are inside the skirt, then tighten all the bolts. Everybody is different, but this works for me.

Thanks that was kinda the approach I was taking, finally got it on but noticed about 1/8 gap around the vent. Snug and tight everywhere else. Patience was used up Might try again tomorrow. Gonna take a ride but the BT systems rocks in the garage

Brotha, pop your head light out and get to know whats going on under the hood. Would bet u have a bunch of wires bunched up in one area that u thought would be pretty roomy. Do a dry run hood install and stick ur unused had in the headlight opening and one sweep will paint u a real clear picture about some minor wiring shifts. Adjust the wiring bundles a tad, red insert the headlight then put the fairing back on.
U don't want to jam that fairing on, pinching RCAs, harnesses, wire bundles, etc.... It's popping out of the bottom clips cause it's high-centering on your recent additions.
Been there done that Brotha. Take the time to get a lay of the new land under there.

T.

Thanks for sure it's coming off again, I hate having others work on my ride cause I want it done right. I have a 4000 mile ride planned in June/July so I have to have it right. Just ran out of patience today. It's so close to perfect now but that little gap is driving me crazy

Anyone know what that cloth-like wrap they use to bundle various wires?
Is there any preferred stuff that people have found that works well?

Thanks!
