That gauge wire should I use for the power and ground?

I run a PA4-3000D, same size as the SS PN4-1000 like Gannicus illustrates above. I used Velcro and a 1x6 cut to the width of my Sony head unit. Velcro on the head unit, then the board. Velcro on the top side of the board and on bottom of the amp. No brackets of any kind. The board raises it up enough to get the amp above the bend in the fairing support. The velcro holds it in place so well that you have to pry the amp up with a screwdriver to remove it. 2+ years with the arrangement and zero issues, even though the install sounds ghetto.

Originally I added the board in an attempt to see if it would make a difference with FM reception, but it didn't. Before that the amp was velcro'd directly to the head unit, although the previous amp was smaller.

OK I have all the parts here except for the HU S310BTX. I bought the 4.1000 amp, HT lids, Kicker 6X9's, amp rack, and plan on using the much hated rocker xx speakers for now. I have a question about the amp and the rokkers. I was told by the J&M tech that these speakers sound best when running 2ohm. How do I wire this up and can I run 2ohm in the front and 4ohm to the rear? Thanks and you guys are great for helping me out like you have been. Thanks again.

It is OK to run that amp at 2 ohm for front and 4 ohm for rear. That is how I am running mine with Kappas (2 ohm )in front and Kickers (4ohm)in the rear.No special way to wire them unless you are running multiple speakers off 1 channel

Not a problem hooking the SS 1000D to the JM speakers on the front channel and the Kickers on the back channel. The SS is two or four ohm compatible and will accommodate both speakers without a problem. Now you will have to keep the gains low on the rokker speakers. The soundstream amp does rated power and will be pushing 250 watts to the JM rokkers and quite frankly I'm not sure they can handle that much power. You might check wit JM Andy. The Kickers will handle the amp just fine.

Yes you can run a pair of 2ohm speakers on the front inputs, and a pair of 4ohm speakers on the rear inputs, and vice versa. Think of it as each pair of inputs is it's own amp.

I would very careful pushing the 2ohm rokkers with this amp. Setting the gains is critical. Even so, if you crank up the volume to them they may poop.
