Do any of you gurus know about the previous relationship between BT and Hertz?
I am vaguely remembering some chatter about a previous business relationship between the two and as BT continued to develop their independent product line the BT amps eventually did not really compliment the Hertz speakers or visa versa.
Starting to shop plug and play for amps for 14+ sleds but already pregnant with the Hertz so if they don't go real well together, I might have to avoid BT.
This goes back to what you gurus have been saying about the amps absolutely having to compliment the speaker design.
Both BT and Hertz are amazing products, but if my memory is correct, they might not be the best combination.
Thoughts. Just don't want to lean towards the wrong amp for my set up, or have any BT amp owners watch this impressive video and ultimately get let down.
Disclaimer: I don't have a first hand damn clue about this past or present compatibility but thought I would cross check what I read with the boots on the ground that have/are using these products together.

Thanks for any insight!!!!

Tailwind, I was talking to Bill at BT one day when the 6x9's for the lids where just becoming available and he mentioned that they had been using Hertz and they were originally made in the U.S.. Then they started making some of their speakers overseas and they started to have problems with them.(Italy I think) Hence the move to Hybrid Audio Technology! As far as the Hertz PBX"s and the 4180 being a good match IMO it would be a great match! The 4180 is a powerful, warm, clean amp, and paired with an accurate sounding speaker like the Hertz should be a great combination! The Micro 4 also sounds great, at least as far as you can tell in a video. Changing from Hertz had nothing to do with compatibility.

I am damn good a plugging shix in!!!!

I really don't know a damn thing about this stuff and am even more intimidated by the 2014+ infotainment BS, flashes, etc. On the flip side I really could get a killer system if I just jumped right in the deep end. Worst case scenario, if I puss out and go plug and play is that the BT 4180 pretty bad **** option.

I am happy with the amp I have as it was a great DIY project to get me the hell out of the Boom world, but if I am going to take this audio stuff to the next level, you are right in that I am gonna have grow a set and get creative.

Thanks in advance for the support!!!! I'm gonna need it!!!

Thanks Moto Mike!!!!

I still might hold out just a bit and let a few folks test the limits of these Hertx Millies before I jump into the replacement amp world, that is unless my audio OCD kicks the shix out of me and starts buying stuff.

That system must be pretty loud, look what it did to the hood of the white car.
