Default 6x9 speakers in fairing

Hey Guys...I'm going to be ordering a fairing soon with the 6x9 cutouts and adding my own sound system. My budget will be around 400-$500 tops, but that will be to include the HU, amp, and speakers.

What are your suggestions for HU & speakers?? I found the amp I want from this site (Pn4.1000d) but unsure of stereo/speakers? I won't be adding bag speakers anytime soon so I want 6x9 that sound great at highway speeds and give more bass than treble sound...
(BTW, I know someone that has the 4x5-1/4 speakers and I just don't care for that setup) Thanks!!

Be careful with that amp, depending on the fairing it might be a tough fit. I have an RZ4-2000 that just fit in mine, had to remove the end caps and both front mounting feet to do it. I'm waiting on a Cerwin Vega B2, smaller footprint.

Poolboy is right. You might want to rethink the amp. The Cerwin Vega would be a better choice for your application.

Awesome guys, Thanks!! More than likely the Fairing from USA Trailers instead of Reckless, just to save on cash...

I looked up items on ebay, all in my cart. What puzzles me is on the speakers I found 2 different prices of a $100 dollar difference, $136 & $249...hope their the same cause I'm going for the least expensive! Thanks again!!

Well...Fairing, Stereo, Speakers & Amp ordered!! Went with Stealth Fairing & decided to go with original amp suggestion from Gannicus. I want to make sure I buy just 1 amp for future bag speakers...
Thanks again to Gannicus & Poolboy for your advise on system, I appreciate your knowledge!! Can't wait...

I realize this is an old thread, but how did it turn out? Looking to do something similar with a stealth fairing and 2 6x9s myself. are you happy with the sound? is it clear on the highway? I have a boss audio set up right now, it's junk. I'm a novice at wiring this stuff, was it easy enough? Did you need any kits?

Would love to hear back from you about how it all went and how it's holding up.
