When you turned down your bass and treble, did you go all the way left or stop in the middle? How many ticks on the volume too?

Bass was 2 from far left
Treble was 2 right of center
10 bars on volume out of 17
AVC on 3rd bar
Amp
front channels 10 oclock on gain
HP filter with frequency about 10 oclock
Rear channels 930ish on gain and freq.at 11 o'clock
