Are you running the oem HU or aftermarket

Most aftermarket HU have low level output and the OEM doesn't and has just speaker (high level ) outputs

Then you won't need the LL converters.

so what you all are saying is that the infinity kappas are the best choice for saddle bag speakers, 5x7 that is, i am torn between the hertz and infinity for my lids... currently have polks and dont like them, running a pn4.1000d....... if money was no object what would you choose for speakers?

I'd take a look at the JL Audio C3 and C5.

Don't let the specs on some of the speakers scare you. They wouldn't recommend them if they wouldn't handle the power.

Absolutely correct. You can run 150 watts to those speakers for 10 hours straight and they won't blink. I've had (and still do) the C5's and the C3's. Great speakers! In the 5x7's you want the JL C5 570x speakers.
