Ur killing me with this "almost there" statement. There is no such thing!!!!!
These lids are going to be a challenge. I'm thinking I have pretty good and loud SQ coming from the front end and need to add some bass to the mix.
I guess I could sell my golf clubs, some tools, and maybe the family TV and just get one set of each. That's the best damn idea I have had in a while!!! Damn it feels good when ur thinking clear!!!

Thank you Gan!!!!!

Honestly you NEED to try both sets. Otherwise, how else would you know which ones you like more.

Gann nailed it if you want bass = Arc, if you want volume = Hertz. If you're fairing focals are loud and clear I'd say you get a more complete sound with the arcs in the back.

While we're on the topic of lids, are any of you using the Fairing Factory lids? Came across these on eBay for a pretty decent price. The grills shape looks a little closer to the CVO style than all of the others I've seen. Anyone have any experience with these?

I looked at those fairing factory lids Bates but they didn't seem to have the quality I was looking for. After my Hog tune lids got damaged (Long story) But all you need to know is my 7 year old grandson was riding his bike in the garage. . lol. I went with the Harley Davidson CVO lids and the BT adapter for my 6x9's. Bout $300 a set plus paint. High quality.

Thanks Gannicus. I'm not really liking the plastic grills that I'm seeing on all of the aftermarket lids anyway. Been eyeing the HD CVO lids at Boardtracker. I should probably just wait till I can get those because I know I won't be satisfied with the others. Dammit.

Yeah That's what I didn't like. looks cheap. Yeah man. I'd wait and get the CVO's. Matter of fact that's my weekend project. Just got em back from paint last friday. These are even better quality than the Hog tune lids and better primed for paint.

Just as a side note I forgot to tell you the lids don't come with the grills. Have to buy them seperate. I think I paid $80 bucks for those.

Will 180 watts per Channel do the trick for pushing the 692s or do you need more ?

vision, 180 rms..must be using the 4180, that should be more than enough, the big Arc moto 4 amp is only 150 rms! The 692's are rated at 90 rms, 180 is double should sound great!
