So...been having issues. Can't get volume to raise past 25. From 25-35 there is no sound increase. Got a hold of a couple of more than helpful guys on the forum. Haze and Gann...haze went through with me today step by step with a dmm. We've come to the conclusion that the hu is bad. So...i contact the place on ebay where I got it. Told him what was up. He said he's sold hundreds of these units with no issues. So, I asked him how many people actually run that unit over 25? No answer as of yet. Not even going to say whom I bought it from just yet. If I get hosed, I'll be sure to let everyone know who it is so y'all don't get smoked. Just a special thanks to those two guys...never enough thanks can be said...thanks again guys!!

The problem could be you have the EQ set too high at certain fq's. Bring the bars to the mid / flat and test your volume again.

I will try that. But i noticed this before i even set my eq. Doesn't matter front or rear channel either. What you are saying is that the voltage would cut out due to eq settings? Tough to swallow...anyone else care to chime in?

Yes, that's what I have seen with mine. I hit a max volume of 25ish and maybe the 4th bar is high. I drop it one or two clicks and the volume goes up. It seems to cause a limiter of some sort, don't know why or maybe mine is f'd up like yours.

Talking with the place i bought it from. Going to try a reset and see if it changes...he said maybe the att button was pressed. On My old kenwood, the att button would damn near mute it

Default fixed...?

So. After my discussion with the place i bought it from, I unplugged the unit. Essentially, a reset to factory specs and low and behold the volume now works between 25-35. That being said, I now need to figure out wtf I did to create my issue...And blowby, you might be correct. However, If I can't listen to my music how I want, as loud as I want. I maybe getting a new hu. I'm hoping it's something else I did...I'll let y'all know what I find out!

man.....all that trouble shooting yesterday!! Luckily it was something simple and a reset fixed it. Can’t believe I didn’t think of that.

Plug in the settings and run with it. Keep the EQ for flat and see how it sounds. Blowby’s vid in the other thread sounds damn good!
