Tell me again how $400 is not enough! I never once said I want to run the bike through a stereo show!!!

Brother you will be less than impressed with that. I'm sure you have a nice bike, spend a little more and do it right. Here are somethings you may not have (or may have) considered.
Those Cali biker lids are are not the same quality as OEM abs plastic, they are much thinner. They are also not painted HD vivid black. They are painted clear coat over bare plastic, hence they are listed as "gloss black" and not HD's vivid black. If these were lowers or a tourpak you may not notice it, but as a lid directly next to a bag --- it looks cheap.
The amp you listed is 90w bridged and your speakers are 100w RMS. You've given yourself no headroom and that's how you fry your amp and push a distorted signal to your speakers -- both bad.
There are MUCH better options even on a budget with regard to speakers and amps. Lids, all the ones worth a damn are gonna cost. Hogtunes can be had for 330ish pre-paint. I payed 100.00 a lid for paint.
If you are set with what you picked out, then go for it and post your results. There's folks with RK who ask the same question here everyone once in a while and not much feedback.

Very good insight here. some I have thought of some not. just looking for a nice upgrade over the Boss I have on it now. Its ok but carrys no bass. I dont want to spend a whole bunch of coin on a system thats gonna be out in the weather. or make the bags more prone to theft.

If change your mind and want to do this right let us know. It would be worse to spend 400 bucks and not be happy with the result.
