Series/Parallel Wiring

Series/Parallel Wiring
Hello,
I was looking on the internet at speaker wiring diagrams. I found a diagram where they had wired 4 2-ohm speakers using the Series/Parallel method. This method didn't change the total impedance to the amp. Even though they had
4 2-ohm speakers, the amp saw a 2-ohm load. Are there any disadvantages of wiring speakers using this method?

Scroll down to the third diagram. Would it be lower since it still pushing 2-ohms? idk

The output to your speaker is lower because you're dividing by 4. Running 4ohm speaker in parallel is 2 speakers splitting a 2ohm load output. So lets say that's a PN4.1000d you are splitting 220w @2ohm into two speakers. This way you are splitting that same output in 4 --- each speaker gets much less.
