Default Best place to hook remote wire up? 2014

Going to install my amp and speakers next week and haven't opened up the fairing yet. I was wondering if there is a remote wire coming off of the stock 6.5 HU or will I have to tap into something? I have a 2014 FLHXS

After a lot of reading on here and reviews online, I decided to go with BT line leveler, Cerwin Vega B2 and JBL P662. I cant wait to get it all hooked up.

I would strongly urge you to send the JBL's back and use the Infinity Kappa 62.11's. Even though they're made by the same company they aren't the same quality. For about $30 more you get a better speaker and a 3yr warranty.

Are they really that bad? I tried to do my homework and searched several things on the infinity Kappa and the JBL. I found several reviews that rated both very highly. Hopefully they will sound ok, if not I will just buy the Kappas and use these on another application.

There was a remote wire on my 15 RGS, I would imagine there is one on the 14 SG. My wiring for my BT amp came with the plug,, did not cut or splice ONE wire on my install...
But if you don't have the plug on your amp wireing you could cut the plug off HU side and splice onto that wire. It was blue, just like a remote usually is I'm sure. I do have a 15 service manual and wire diagram I can look at this afternoon,, (have drill today, only 11 more to go then retirement from the Military!)

I had a set of the JBL's and they didn't hold up long at all. Maybe you'll have better luck.
