I've read it but I'm gonna give it a go but if it doesn't fit then I'll break-down and buy the J&M mount but trust me that I'm gonna give it a whirl first

There's another post of someone who modded another mount. Required some drilling I think.

I've tried looking for that thread I'll continue to look though I'm married to this pn4.1000d the reviews and results are astounding

Here's the link. He says it's do-able with the regular amp tray.....but eventually purchased the J&M mount. For the record, I can't stand J&M, but don't know of any other alternative I can suggest. Wish I did brother.
