I just picked up a '16 Road Glide Special and am ready for a nice sound system.

So with no real budget what would you do?

What's up man. I live in Miami myself and have tried just about everything that fits on an HD. If you have no real budget and want a nice system --- how crazy do you want to get? How many speakers are you wanting to add? Anything in the bags?

I was thinking 6 x9's in the bags, and the best speakers i can get for the front fairing.

Nice bike! I've got a '15 & this is what I'm up to right now: Pioneer HU/ with BT retro install kit, Diamond Micro2 pushing American bass 6.5's & Power accoustik horns, Diamond micro4 that will be pushing jl 8.8's in the lids when voodoo bikeworks get's them done! I've ran hertz ecx 165's & JL c3 650's off of the micro2 & both were loud & clear!

 

Very nice bike! Can't believe there aren't black handle bars on it though! Good thing you didn't say no budget while still in the stealership and get some sub par system! Listen to the experts here and you will ride away happy!

 

Amp in the fairing or in your bags?

Shoot me a PM. There's endless options all depending how crazy you want to get. Even with just some speakers and 6X9's. When you say "best" that's a relative term....there's best sounding, there's best as in loudest. I can tell you the best "sounding" speakers I've had sounded the best when parked but were not the loudest. Same as the loudest did not sound the best parked, but where the best heard while riding. Like I said shoot me a PM. There's also best within your budget!!

Not bias for black cycles, damn good looking scooter. 10" black Yaffe bars will do it. Have fun enjoy the tunes.
