Default could use some advice

I have a 2013 flhx.when I bought it ,it had stock HU,Precision power i320 amp, precision power speakers, one was blown, and hog tunes tweeter pods. I changed speakers to Pheonix Gold ti265cs, kept tweeter pods and only used the PG 6.5's.amp set to all pass, used the x overs from PG. It sounded better ,but alot of treble,un hooked tweeter pods from x overs and connected direct to HU.Better.I just got a SSPN 4.1000...hopefully I can tinker with it tonite. Is it better to use the external xovers..??.I have been reading on this audio forum...thanks alot for getting a great one going...I had in mind the BT 7.1..but more I read ,I leaning toward moto 6.2...lots of questions.

Don't really need external cross overs if you have good speakers. The Soundstream PN4.1000D will push any speaker you want to run. The 7.1's from Biketronics or the Moto 602's are excellent speakers with that amp. No need for cross overs.

I think his phoenix gold are components that come with passive crossovers.

So if I got the moto 6.2"s I wouldn't use the xovers.what about the tweeters.? Seeing as the pod is bolted to inner fairing, use the hog tunes or can they be changed and put the arc audio tweeters in the pods ?

Sorry I misunderstood. Yes with the Moto 6.2's you would use the cross overs. I have seen the Hog tunes tweeter pod replaced with different tweets. I was thinking you were interested in the Moto 602's. They are coaxial speakers.

No crossovers needed with the Arc 602's, yes with the 6.2's.

My main concern is very high treble.i was thinking about the 6.2's because they are component.would the 602 be a better choice.just don't want excessive treble .want the music to breathe but not pierce my ears.would two sets of tweeters be too much up front.? I also have a ultra tour pak that I use .what would you recommend to put in those pods ?

No worries on the treble with either of those speakers. They both have a rich full sound powered with the SS PN4.1000D.
