Yeah John since it was his first amp I didn't want to over do it with the 3000D. Need a little experience to install the PA 3000D. As you know that RZ4.2000 will drive the hell out of his speakers with minimal distortion. The kenwood just doesn't have enough power for the Titan II speakers. His Polks and Titan II speakers will scream with the RZ4.2000.

Default Distortion with new amplifier

Last question before wrapping up. I adjusted the gains by ear and heard very little distortion with gains turned down. Ended up have both of them at the 1100 position. I decided to tune with a dmm but no matter what I set the gain to it's the same voltage. Am I doing something wrong? I posted a picture for reference with gain set to minimum.

CG -

11:00 with those speakers and your HU is perfect with that amp. I only know this because I have installed so many of them with those speakers. You should be able to turn your stereo up to 30 with 0 distortion at that setting. With that amp and those speakers it should be louder than your ears can stand. I always set my gains by ear.

im not sure what you mean about installation. I removed the 2000 and dropped in the 3000 in its place, so initial installation would be the same give or take. At any rate, the 2000 rocks and I liked mine for a couple of years.

I'm pretty confident of your skill set John. Some of the guys who visit the forum have never had their fairing off. It can be a little intimidating if you have never done it before.

read your DDM.... you are measuring mA's LMAO.
you need Vac (200V setting), the first one after the OFF on your DDM.
