Default ACV on a Kenwood KDC-X798?

Does this head unit have the Automatic Compensating Volume on it? I read the manual but didn't see anything about it. Or missed it. Seems when stopped I have to turn it down. After reaching highway speed I have to turn it up.

Default Avc

This can only be retained with the biketronics kit I believe...
The Hu has nothing to do with it.

X998 got Drive Q (slightly adjusts audio with regards to drive sound (in the car).
Not aware of AVC on ANY aftermarket HU.
Biketronics 100x is the only one supporting AVC.
I do not like it, but that's personal.
I prefer the "Mute/ATTN" option the ASWC-1 / Metra combo provides (plus you save some money).
See "my" sticky thread.

Do you have to cut the pink wire with that unit?

yep - there is PLENTY of info out here. most of the questions from "newbee's" have been answered in the past somewhere on the forum.

the "bad" thing is the search engine on the forum does not work that great. I use Google like "HDForums batwing amp bracket" or alike. Always include hdforums in the search criteria.

I procured th BT 1005 and you can set the sensitivity on volume. I think it works as good or better than stock. imho
