Default Sony Mex 70 BT question

I love this headunit but honestly I'm not too good at working it.
Here is my issue.

A good friend of mine gave me a memory stick that contains 8000 songs.
It has everything from Frank Sinatra to AC/DC.

Or I should say AC/DC to ZZ top with frank Sinatra and Hank Williams and a host of everything in there.

Does anyone know how to get the above headunit to scroll by artist in which case AC/DC would come up first in the menu?

I want to tune to AC DC but I don't know how to get the headunit to scroll by artist. Thanks

If I knew how to copy it for you I would...
Actually if I can figure out how to delete half the stuff on it I would. Lol

I have the Sony MEX-GS610BT which is very similar to yours. The only way that I've seen to categorize songs as you stated is to edit them numerically. So, ACDC and whichever the name of the song is 1, etc., etc., etc.

I did stumble on my headunit showing numbers on a search.
When I plug the stick into my Tahoe the display shows all the artists. I'll have to snap a photo of that display and go back to the headunit and insert the stick and see if it corolates to what I see in the Tahoe. I think your onto something here.
Thanks for the feedback.
