This may be a stupid suggestion but this is what I found out today. I copied my music to a 4 Gig thumb drive. I went to try it and see if it would play, nope it did not. I finally checked the format of the thumb drive, it was NTSF, I then reformatted it to Fat 32 and it worked. This may be a place to look at if you haven't already.

When you use I tunes you must go to your I tunes library right click on the song you want hit convert mp3 format wait until you see it finish or hear the aubible. You will see the song title twice, use the second one. I always check the box next to the second one so I know it's the mp3 format. Someone else may know a shorter or better way but this works for me.
