Default Sony DSXS310BTX with Infinity Kappa 62.11i

I currently have a 2008 Ultra with the SS 4.520 amp, Infinity Kappa ii in the fairing and rear pods, running the stock HK head unit.

I am wanted to upgrade the head unit to a DSXS310BTX. Am I going to run into an issue with the ohms of the head unit with my current setup? I'd like to not have to replace the amp and speakers just for the head unit.

If am going to run into an issue with the ohms, could anyone recommend a head unit that would play nice with my current speakers and amp?

Thanks guys.

No issues Sir. The Impedance will be driven by the amp. When you add an amp to the mix the HU impedance doesn't matter. Your speakers will be driven by the soundstream 520.D which is 2 or 4 ohm compatible. Since you are using the 2 ohm infinity's the amp will send 130 watts to each speaker @ 2 ohms. If you were using 4 ohm speakers the amp would send 100 watts rms to each speaker.

The Sony 310 is an excellent HU IMO The Sony will play very well with the soundstream amp and the infinity speakers! Go for it!
