Quest for new speakers
As stated in another post I fried my Kappa 693.9i speakers run off a Cerwin Vega B2 amp.
I looked at a few new choices today.
Hertz ECX-690.5 100w RMS 200w peak 4ohm
Phoenix Gold ti269ps 100w RMS 200W peak 4ohm
Any thoughts on these two or should I stick to my Kappas and dial them back a bit?

I have the Hertz HCX 690’s in my lids and I have the Infinity 693.9i inside my bags. The Hetrtz HCX’s aren’t cheap but they are the loudest and clearest speakers on my bike. The Infinity’s definitely have more bass, they can handle the low freqs MUCH better. They get “almost” as loud, but aren’t as clear sounding.
The Infinity’s I’m powering them with the PN4.1000D, so they’re getting about 230w’s or so and they don’t flinch with however much bass I give them. I think those speakers for the cost are awesome man.
p.s. my gains are set with a distortion detector.

Haven't set a real budget. At this time my HU is a Kenwood KMM-BT312U I'm not liking it as it is hard to navigate and the display is not good in the sunlite. The problem with the HU is it needs to be a short chassis.
