Default 14Tri upgrade

Would like to upgrade my Tri Boom 4.3, four speaker system. I know the best path is speakers and amp but can't do all at once. What will give the best initial sound upgrade, speakers with the stock head and no amp or do the amp with the stock head and speakers?
Thinking maybe the Biketronics 7.1's that has the pod elimination brackets and a Cerwin Vega small amp eventually.

A speaker upgrade with no amp will sound about the same. An amp driving stock speakers will sound better, but your speakers won't live very long. If you choose speakers first they need to match your head unit's impedance.

Seems like Biketronics says the 7.1s will work with 1,2 or 4 ohm?
