are you asking where it fits size wise and location?

or

where it ranks against the B2.

I've had both amps in the fairing (so they both fit). The B2 is a cleaner sound, and great option for 2 channel amp (perhaps best option out there all things considered). It's also cheaper. The 1000D is warmer and louder, packs more of a punch....but also a 4 channel amp and extremely tight fight requiring some sort of bracket to raise it to the widest parts of the fairing brackets.

I'm a fan of both.

I guess I wanted the sound/power qualities but the choice of the word "Fit" made it mean both. Thanks for the complete answer. I wear a full face helmet so the warmer aspects of the PN4.1000D might not be heard but the power will be a benefit at speed. I only have 2 fairing speakers so maybe the cleaner sounding less expensive B2 can be heard at interstate speeds.

Yeah Scooby I think you will notice a big difference between the fosgate and the Cerwin Vega. As HAZE said cleaner sound with more power. I like it over the fosgate as well. Especially @ 4 ohms.

Feed back on the clean power switching from the PBR300x2 to the Cerwin Vega B2.....Holy $#:! Huge improvement is sound quality, mid range is the biggest gain but power delivery while still clear and undistorted is making my ears hurt at half volume on the KDC-998 with loudness, bass boost and all Off. Running Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers. Best swap ever.

Good feedback brother! I've installed both amps back to back several times with the same speakers and the B2 wins every time. That's one reason I always recommend the B2 over the X2 for sound quality. The X2 is great if you want to keep radio reception. But if you are looking for clean power and SQ. It's the B2 all the way.

No gain adjustment on the B2. I set the voltage input by ear, started turning it up until I heard no increase in volume, backed down until I heard volume decrease and back up to plateau, set it there. Any other way to adjust? Also set to Full (AP) and using my DSP control on the head unit. Any recomendations on using HP instead?

Yes use the input gain sensitivity to set your gain. So long as you don't get distortion you should be fine. The 998 is an awesome HU. Here's my settings pushing 7.1 Pro

- Drive EQ - On
- Manual EQ I set using an iPhone RTA app but will be different for your bike (set-up). Q 1.50, Bass ETX off.
- Car Type - SUV

Pro:
- DSP on
- Car type - SUV
- Speaker front: 4x6 Door. (6.5 and 6.75 were close, 7 had too much low end, 4x6 seemed clearer/louder)
- Speaker rear: 6x9 deck
-X-over front: 70, -12 slope, -1 gain. 60 and 70 were roughly the same. -6 slope sounded better parked, -12 allows me to go louder
- X-over rear: 40, -6 slope
- DTA - none
Sound Enhancer
- Supreme Yes
