Speaker Question

I got the Clarion amp installed along with some 5.25" JBL rear speakers in the HogTunes rear pods. The front JBL 6.5" speakers and the 5.25" rears sound amazing. When I had the factory setup, I had to have the radio volume up about 1/2 or a little more so my wife could hear it at highway speeds. Now I've got it at 4 notches from the lowest and it is louder now than it ever has been. I had to use 2x RCA "Y" splitters to get the amp to supply power to the rear speakers since I didn't have them or the wiring for them.
The install was easy, just time consuming. I got the amp and rear pods installed in about 2.5 hours from start to finish. I'm happy with the setup now. I can hear the rear speakers pretty good at speeds. The wife likes the pods. She said they make her feel more secure on the bike.

Well lots of Class D amps cause you to lose FM reception....actually most of them do. When we put this amp on my buds bike he retained FM reception, wondering if that amp is now 2 for 2 and it is. May be an option for guys that MUST keep FM reception. There’s not lots of options out there.
I think because the power draw for this amp is minimal it does’t impact FM reception. Good stuff!
