+1 What amp?

I ran those speakers with 3 different amps and the more power they had the better they sounded!

I just went in and readjusted my gains today. I could tell the speakers had loosened up really good. Once I finished the kappas sounded totally different. You can tell that these speakers love power. Sounds even better than before.

Again, wish mine were the same lol.. Maybe the issue is your old ears.. My younger crisp ears hear a little more of the fine details.. Idk.. Actually I really think it's my style of music that limits my sound

May be that my older ears are able tune in the finer sounds LOL. Seriously though after about 3mos of use I could tell my speakers had broken in. I could max out the volume on most songs. My gains were set at 10:00. Move them both to 12:00 and made a really big difference. Had planned to set them with a DMM but my boy had it on a job. As far as music goes I listen to a pretty wide spectrum and they handle everything I throw at them.

Maybe I just have no idea wtf I'm doing when it comes to setting all that up.. About the only thing I listen to that I can crank up over 27 is SRV but typically I listen to heavy stuff with lots of drumming and distortion.. I think I'm at 5,and about 120hz with the radio setting pretty low, play slayer or something above 27 and the sound quality goes way down.. Maybe I'll go back in there this weekend and redo some stuff
