Default Boom Infotainment Distortion Level?

I had to swap out my amp due to a faulty low voltage indicator and I need to set my gains. My buddy is bringing an oscilloscope home this evening, but I was curious if anyone has used a scope to see where the 2014+ Boom stereo starts to distort. I'm guessing it may be possible to get a clean signal at max volume, but was curious if anyone has actually tested it.

The stock radio with the flash for an amp starts to clip 3 bars from maximum. Hopefully that helps out you guys who are using DMM to set your gains. In addition, I was able to get just a hair over 23 volts from my Moto 600.4 amp before the signal started to clip. If you are using a DMM for your gains, I would be conservative and use 23-23.5 volts as your reference instead of the 24.49 volts you would seek using 150 watts RMS as your reference. I calculated my amps output at 133 watts per channel.

Excellent calculations. Just curious on the 133 RMS calculation? My Moto 600.4 benched a little over 150 watts?

I calculated mine right below the clipping level. I was using a Fluke LCD oscilloscope which was a bit more difficult to read than an older CRT. There may have been a bit more headroom, but I stayed conservative to keep my speakers safe. I tend to listen to my stereo pretty loud so an ultra clean signal was my priority.
