Default Running lowers in parallel

I've recently added lowers to my full Biketronics setup. They sound good and really added a lot of sound/ depth to my system. The question I have is the harness I received from Biketronics to run these 6.5" in my lowers is one set of wires that runs from my 4180 to my 7.1s in the fairing, from there they basically daisy chain down to the lowers. So each + goes from the amp to the 7.1s then down to the 6.5" speakers and the - do the same. Although I agree this presents a 2ohm load on the amp it seems to me that the 7.1s have first shot to soak up all the power and the 6.5" are running off of what's left. Wouldn't the power be distributed more evenly if the wires ran straight from the amp to the speakers separately? I realize the sensitivity of the 7.1s is higher than the 6.5" speakers but the 7.1s do noticeably outperform the 6.5" so it got me wondering if I should open it back up and change the wiring configuration.

no worries, they are receiving the same amount of power each. the signal doesn't work on a first-come-first-served basis

if you have 2 items plugged into a power strip the first one does not get more energy.

it won't matter if they are ran as they are or if you use separate speaker wires for each speaker to the amp, the amp will see the same load and the power will be distributed evenly to all speakers.

This would only be true if you had a 2 ohm set of speaker and a 4 ohm set of speakers wired in parallel. Not because they were hooked up first but, less resistance.

if you wired a 2ohm speaker and a 4ohm speaker in parallel the final load the amp would see would be 1.33ohm. the amp will not see a 2ohm and a 4 ohm speaker separately, it only knows the final load.

you can play with a calculator here:

and this site will answer any question anyone will ever have about anything to do with mobile audio:
