Depends on which Focal models you are considering, and how fat your wallet is.

If you're talking high end fairing speakers BTs 7.1 pros and Focal KRC I would say sound wise they are comparable, but the Pros are a bit less expensive and the superior warranty and customer service of Biketronics gives it the clear edge for me anyways. One of my Focals was blown and it took about 3 months to get it replaced under warranty, not going to deal with that anymore went all Biketronics.

Hmmm - Water resistant + Lifetime warranty + great sound + cost effective = Biketronics.
Equivelent Focal 165KRC speakers $800 a set @ Crutchfield. You be the judge.

If you like a very bright sounding speaker, meaning strong cymbal crash, etc then you really want the focal kr, for me too bright so I went with HAT (these are the speakers Biketronics brands)

Brand new I'd probably bought BT's for warranty. I bought a lightly used set Focal K2's for $225 so it was no brainer

Focal KRC and KRX are superior speakers. Expensive but worth it. I've been running them in my cvo for 2.5 years, rain/bike wash and no issues so far.
