Need speaker model recommendation
So I think I'm going with Hertz speakers and a RD pbr300x4 amp. Amp and all hertz speakers seem to be 4 ohm which from what I understand from reading threads here seem to match up well.
I already have dcx 170.3 speakers in the rear pods but I'm looking for a hertz speaker recommendation for in the fairing.
Thanks in advance for any tips

The only catch with the PBR it's one of the few amps that will retain your FM reception (or mostly). If your ok with risking losing some FM there's better options to power those speakers.
Not sure what year bike. It's a 2013 or older check out the new Soundstream PN4.1000D. Don't know if it fits in the rushmores.

I agree with HAZE. The only amp that matches up well with the Hertz speakers and retain FM is going to be the BT4180. If FM is not a requirement the soundstream 1000D will push the hell out of those speakers. The PBR300X4 and Hertz speakers should never be mentioned in the same sentence. . . LOL!

You are looking at the BT4180 Or two PBR300X2's with the Hertz speakers. The X2 will push the rears just fine. But if you get the HCX speakers that my friend HAZE mentioned you are going to need the BT4180.

I don't think the PN4.1000D will fit in the newer bikes. Also, something to consider is with your 2015 you will need to get it flashed and that's been hit or miss (I'm sure you've seen the posts) or use the magic box.
There's no real way of knowing if you'll lose FM reception. Some guys have reported with the same exact amp loss while others have had no loss. So if you go with the assumption that you are going to lose some and it ends up working, you're good. The upside is you have a very worthy amp in your bike that will sound much better. Amps that don't cause loss of FM reception are generally the Fosgate PBR series, or the Biketronics Amps. Gannicus was recommending you install TWO Fosgate PBRX"2" since they have more power than the 4 channel version if you MUST keep FM reception and they don't cost much. If not the Power Acoustik RZ4.2000D is an amp that's been hit or miss with FM loss, but has plenty of power behind it and fits in your fairing. If you're looking for top of line sound the BT4180, Arc 600.4 are it for fitting in the fairing.

Looking at the 4180 it seems like a no brainer. More than I wanted to spend but not a whole lot more than a a pair of pbr withe all the extras. FM reception isn't a big deal after all I checked and my phone will pass iheartradio over bluetooth which means I can listen to my favorites station any where.
So I guess now that the amp is worked out...
Do the two of you recommend the hcx model for the hertz?
