I have my eq set to 'rock'. There are many options on your settings, I spent about an hour trying them all and can't recall offhand what they all are. Just play with it until you get it how you like. What sounds good to me might not to you.

Try these settings...HPF 80 slope 1, DM +, and EQ on EXPLOD. After setting those, play with the EQ till you hear what you like. Keep loudness turned off!!!!!

2010 Limited with some stuff

While there was an explode option on my Sony DSX, there is no such option on my MEX. Only generic music types; i.e rock, pop, jazz, hip hop, ect. There's also a custom setting which allows you to set your own frequency band preferences

Yeah - John I installed two of the Sony Mex-M70BT's last weekend and I seen those settings. Where did you end up on those frequency band settings? I played with them a little but I didn't notice a huge difference in sound. But the dam thing sounded so good I left them alone.
