So, there must be a little clearance between the speaker and inner fairing. Right?

The boom grills did not work on my Limited Low, the tweeters hit the grills. I had to push them out some.

So, do the speakers mount right up on the fairing or is there some space?

If you go outside the pods, they fit in close, inside the pods leaves a 1/4" or so gap.

I am going outside the pods. If the grills are pressed up against the rim of the speakers the tweeter will fit. I took the speaker and put the grill on it and not only does the tweeter hit but the speaker surround also is touching. I think if the pod allows a small gap between the speaker rim and the fairing it will be fine. Judging by all the people here that say the CS grills work I am thinking that is the case. Of course, that would leave a gap that dust and/or water could get into. I guess I am going to have to take it apart and see for myself how this works. Wish there was some good pics online.

Lol that's why I was asking if you'd to a write up and some pics for the rest of us. I can't find any install instructions for 2014 and up bikes.
