Default Interesting Class D/FM reception discovery

For a good while I've believed that Class D amps killed FM reception, largely because it killed mine. I've been through several head unit/amp combos. The first was the stock head unit and the Soundstream 520. I lost FM right away. Wasn't too happy, so I swapped to a Sony DSX and the RF PBR300x2. FM came back, but before long I wanted to add some more speakers, so I replaced the PBR with a 4 channel PA Razor 2000D. I lost FM again. But this morning I finished swapping in a Sony MEX head unit behind that same Razor amp and surprise! FM returned. Your guess is as good as mine.

Depending on what I've touched when I have the faring off, I lose different fm channels with my amp. Especially when I tweak gain settings, I frequently lose my go-to 101.1. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason other than I looked at it funny.

John, the louder you play, the more interference will occur....it is a hit and miss (more miss than hit) with Class D's

I dunno, I'm cranking it pretty loud and so far so good. I had zero reception before, the only change was the head unit.
